About Us

A long serving pub for the people of Caerphilly and North Cardiff, The Black Cock Inn has a long and proud history in the area, and is still very popular today.

Dog friendly, we’re a common stop for walkers, cyclists, and riders, as they cross over Caerphilly Mountain giving them a chance to wet their whistle for the next leg of their journey, or enjoy a hearty lunch at the half-way point before they begin their journey back. We also have a large car park for those who want to come straight here.

Split into two sections, there’s a small bar for around 20-25 people (and the odd man’s best friend) with a big screen and projector for games and events. Further along is our Resturant/Bar: Here, we have room for up to 70 people to sit down and enjoy a freshly prepared meal with their favourite drink, or a local bitter or ale.

We also have two outdoor seating areas allowing you to enjoy the best of the warm weather and the summer sun.

On Sunday, come along and enjoy our Sunday Lunches. Choose from fresh succulent cuts of Beef, Pork or Turkey (subject to availability). All are served with Roast and New Potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding and selection of vegetables.
